An "Overwatch" Sockhead Hat

I have decided that February was going to be dedicated to finishing up some of the many works-in-progress I have stockpiled.

It is getting to the point where I have so many projects on the knitting needles that I am getting stressed out and feel guilty - which is not what I want knitting to mean in my life.

This hat, in this yarn from Black Cat Custom Yarn in "Overwatch" was something my oldest daughter asked for a couple of years ago. I bought the yarn, fresh on the heels of her new found Overwatch obsession, and cast on.

I nearly finished the hat.

And then, for whatever reason, it sat. It sat for over a year.

I saw someone use the #finishitFebruary (which I initially read as "finish sh*t February") on Instagram and I decided this was going to be the month I dedicated myself to getting as many of these UFOs  - unfinished objects - off of my knitting needles as I can.

I picked up the Overwatch slouch hat again and finished it with less than an hour of knitting.

I hope that Jillian thinks it was worth the wait.

Now, let's see what else I can finish up ...

Yarn: Black Cat Custom Yarn in "Overwatch" (this is a few years old, so I'm not sure if this colorway is a current offering)
Pattern: Sockhead Hat by Kelly McClure of Boho Knits

Please note that I personally purchased all yarn and needles I used to make this project. The pattern is free. This is not a sponsored or a gifted post.
