Knit Vlog No. 2 | I'm not a snob when the yarn is FREE, a life of "glamour", and accidently offending the Muggles

If you're visiting the blog for the first time via YouTube, welcome! It's so nice to have you here at my web home away from home.

If you're a regular blog reader, then welcome back and thanks for sticking with me. It's always nice to see familiar faces.

If you cannot get the video to play for you at the top of this post, you may watch it over on YouTube at this link:

This post was created to share some of the links for the things I've talked about in this past week's vlog.

In the second episode of Knit Vlog I talked about the preemie hats that I am knitting. My original goal was to knit a dozen hats but then my seven year old challenged me to knit 100 preemie hats in 2016, so I'm going to see just how many I can work up this year.

Here is the link to the Preemie Hat pattern that I am using.

I also began to knit a Zig Zag blanket for Lucy and her baby dolls. I'm using yarn that a friend gave to me and my daughter picked out all of the pinks and purples. She's picking out a new color for each stripe and we are thinking that it will end up just the right size for her to use with her doll stroller.

I knit for a little while on my Sock Head Slouch Hat, which I am making with yarn leftover from a pair of socks I finished recently.

While I was dying my hair, I was ignoring the laundry that needed to be folded and working on my scrap yarn blanket.

I've been working on this project for a few years now. I'll go into more detail, perhaps in a future vlog or in a blog post, on why this blanket is so important to me and how knitting it really helped me during a tough time in my life - almost gave me a knew beginning, or at least a fantastic metaphor to cling to while I was searching for a fresh start.

In the meantime, you can check out the details on this blanket on my Ravelry project page for it, located here.

I also briefly worked on a pair of socks. I've got about five different pairs going right now. The yarn for this particular pair I purchased last year from Voolenvine Yarns.

Here is a link where I share how I like to knit my socks using small circular needles.

Okay, right. So that is all I can think of that I need to share with you here by way of Knit Vlog number two.

Have any questions? Drop them in the comments here or on the YouTube video page and I'll do my best to answer you.

Thanks for playing along!
